so I'm a little behind schedule

Jan 05, 2006 15:48

I avoided this meme before New Year's. And, now that it's pointless, I think I'm going to do it.

Was 2005 a good year for you?
Yes, very much so!

What was your favorite moment of the year?
I believe it was during show week of Kennedy's Children. We were running Act II and during Rona's last monologue I started to feel tears welling up in my eyes. By the end of the run, I was just bawling--completely bawling! I was so overwhelmed with joy because, for the first time, I saw characters before me instead of actors. I was so proud of my cast. :)

What was your least favorite moment of the year?
I don't really keep track of "least favorite moments". Why should I take up space in my memory with bad things when there are so many good things to remember?

Where were you when 2005 began?
In my living room, watching the ball drop...widescreen style.

Who were you with?
I know Amanda and Matt were there...but I don't remember who else!! Aren't I terrible?? Wes was there…but I don’t think he was there when the ball dropped. And I know Sara stopped by for a little while after midnight…who else??

Where will you be when 2005 ends?
I was at Rumpy’s house. Oh, what a night…

Who will you be with when 2005 ends?
I was with Rumpy, Sharon, Angie, Matt, and Jon.

Did you keep your new year's resolution of 2005?
To be honest, I don’t remember what it was. It was probably something simple like “be happy”. If that is the case, YES, I kept it.

Do you have a new year's resolution for 2006?
If you’re truly interested, go back a few entries. :P

Did you fall in love in 2005?
Nope.

Did you have fun in 2005?
More fun than I’d ever had before!

Did you breakup with anyone in 2005?
I didn’t date anyone so, naturally, I didn’t break up with anyone.

Did you make any new friends in 2005?
Of course!

Who are your favorite new friends?
Most definitely my suiteys and my cast members.

What was your favorite month of 2005?
They were all pretty good, but I think it’s a tie between July and December.

Did you travel outside of the US in 2005?
Nope.

How many different states did you travel to in 2005?
Does driving through New Jersey to get to New York count?

Did you lose anyone close to you in 2005?
Thankfully no.

Did you miss anybody in the past year?
I was going to list individual people, but basically when I’m in Geneseo I miss my NH friends and when I’m in NH I miss my Geneseo friends. I think that just about sums it up.

What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2005?
Cold Mountain. I know it’s 2003, but I didn’t see it till 2005. And it’s now my favorite movie.

What was your favorite song from 2005?
You mean it has to have been released in 2005? Hmmm…I guess that would have to be “You and Me” by Lifehouse.

What was your favorite record from 2005?
Ummm I think I’ll go with a musical. How about Spamalot?

How many concerts did you see in 2005?
A few. No one too famous or anything.

Did you have a favorite concert in 2005?
I actually enjoyed Anne Heaton’s performance at the Grind a lot.

How many people did you sleep with in 2005?
None. Not that a silly survey should even be asking that question.

Did you lose anything important this year?
I don’t think so. Did I?

What was the worst lie someone told you in 2005?
I usually try to forget that stuff. What happened in the past doesn’t bother me now.

Did you treat somebody badly in 2005?
I certainly hope not!

Did somebody treat you badly in 2005?
Not really, unless you count minor incidences. But I’m thinking this question is about long-term bad treatment.

How much money did you spend in 2005?
Too much. I wiped out my checking account.

What was your proudest moment of 2005?
Well, it was at approximately 5:54pm on Friday, December 9th. I’ll let you figure it out from there.

What was your most embarrassing moment of 2005?
I don’t get embarrassed easily. I do too many stupid, clumsy things to let them bother me.

If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change something, what would it be?
I would have called my friends more often, even when I didn’t think I had time. I should always have time for my friends. Oh, and I probably would have withdrawn from Humn while I had the chance. But I passed. So it’s all good.

What are your plans for 2006?
Oh, more of the same. Take too many classes. Get involved in too many shows. Work on too many projects. Make too many plans. ;)

What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Directed a show!! And lots of other stuff…but directing a show was the most important thing because it made me realize what I want to do with my life.

What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
I bet you think I’m going to say “a boyfriend”. But I’m not. How about a driver’s license?

What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December 9th, of course.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
You know what I’m going to say. :P

What was your biggest failure?
I don’t think I really failed at anything…did I?

Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had bronchitis for a couple weeks. And I twisted my ankle over the summer.

What was the best thing you bought?
A hair straightener.

Whose behavior merited celebration?
Huh??

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ummm no one’s? I’m a pretty tolerant person.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My show!!

Compared to this time last year:
Happier or sadder? HAPPIER!!
Older or wiser? Both.
Thinner or Fatter? About the same.
Richer or poorer? Oh, poorer…big time…

What do you wish you'd done more of?
My Humn homework. Haha.

Eating chocolate. But I only did it to save the horses.

What was your favorite TV program?
LOST!!! …and Family Guy.

What was the best book you read?
I don’t have time to read…or do math, according to my cast.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Jason Robert Brown. I liked him before, but I’m liking his music more and more as I hear it.

What did you want and get?
Cookware! (Yes, I said cookware. Time for some serious eggplant cooking.)

What did you want and not get?
Nothing, really. Except maybe an ipod…but when would I use it?

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I came home on my birthday. It was the first day of spring break. And I turned 19.

What would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Nothing.

What kept you sane?
My suiteys. I don’t know what I’d do without them.  And music, as always.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
No one? I was pretty obsessed with Idina Menzel in the beginning of the year. But that wore off.

What political issue stirred you the most?
“Gay rights”. Except I hate that term. I prefer to call them “human rights”.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
You can’t be happy till you let yourself.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.
