I'm leaving tonight for Texas.
I'm finishing up my packing of the clothes and stocking the cooler for my car.
Goddess is gassed up and ready for the trip.

Am I nervous, yes.
Am I anxious, yes.
Am I excited, yes.

I'm totally reachable by cell so call if you need anything.

Places you need to stop

Texas is an awesome road trip. Have lots of fun.

On your way there or back try to stop by Gatlinburg TN. You can hit Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in the same detour. Both very fun towns. Although my perception of them might be skewed because it was christmas and the whole area was lit up more than a nuclear reactor.

In Texas be sure to stop off at Coffee City, its just outside of Dallas if I remember correctly. Its a little town in the middle of nowhere but they have the greatest resteraunt in the middle of town.

Visit Coursicana, TX - the fruitcake capital of the world. Mmmm fruitcake.

And of course visit San Antonio and The Alamo. Don't ask where the basement is. Honestly you won't feel right. The tour guides there are dead serious and very somber. They treat the place like people actually died there or something. Fortunately there are some props from Pee Wee's Big Adventure in the Planet Hollywood there.
