Ugh, that is so freaking terrible. I've been in enough of a bubble that I hadn't seen the casting and it just makes me angry. The cartoon series is well-loved for what it is; making it something different because that is what kids' movies are all like right now all but guarantees that it will fail to both make money and honor the source material.

I feel the same way about the early rumors that had Haley Joel Osmet(sp?) cast as Harry Potter. It's just WRONG.
