Well, it was a day I guess. Not my worst birthday at least.
Nothing much happened out of the ordinary ... got up, took Molly to Sunday School, ran to Sam's Club for stuff we're running low on like detergent, dog treats, and a few other things. Went to Mom's to take her the computer and set it up. So far a pretty ordinary Sunday.

Not a huge fan of saurkraut, but I like German food. Sounds like a good birthday! The ferns sound beautiful. I'm planning on getting some flowers and greenery for our patio. I'm trying hard not to "take" Andy's Home Depot card he got for his birthday and get patio stuff since I convinced him to use his $50 of the Best Buy card on the PS2. *laughs*

My friend makes saurkraut that you might like - she drains a can of kraut, rinses it in a collandar under water for about 5 minutes, then puts it to simmer in a saucepan with either apple juice, apple cider, applesauce, or any combination of the three. Comes out sweet but with a slight pinch from the original vinegar used in the kraut. Very similar to the red wine cabbage kraut yesterday.

It's on Rt. 7 about 10 minutes south of Binghamton. Very easy to find if you're in this area letterboxing or something. Just take exit 1 off Rt. 81, then follow those blue highway signs (the ones indicating restaurants and milage to them) for about 2 miles. It's on Corbettsville Road, which is right off Rt. 7. It's in a historic inn from the 1870's, and you feel like you're in some beer garden in Germany.

If we're ever up towards the NY side of the state, I'll have to try the restaurant...it sounds FANTASTIC!

I decided quiet birthdays are good. My mom pretty much salvaged it for me, so I'm content.
