We leave for Albany in the morning to spend holiday time with Mark's family. Looking forward to this trip - should be fun. I don't think we'll go out a lot, but my SIL and I have some fun things planned to do around the house. And I just got online and did a quick search for letterboxes in her area. I hear you on that one. Our recent trips included one to Massachusetts at Thanksgiving to see John's dad before he passed. He passed on December 2, about a week after we left.

On Friday, we went to New Orleans for a wake for an old friend from science fiction fandom. He died on Christmas Day, which should make Christmas difficult for his family. He was 62.
