I was inspired to write this for a sweetie of mine last year and I just rediscovered it in an old file. It still gives me shivers.

Rough Love

Give me a gift of your fear
Give me a gift of your lust
Give me a gift of your tears
Give me a gift of your trust

Dance the edge of experience with me; walk the sharpest line
Give me the chance to explore your pain as the pleasure walks your spine
My will demands your submission and my hands command your skin
You came to me of your own free will, and I gladly took you in

Every touch is a treasure
Every touch lights the fire
Every touch is a measure
Of the gravity of our desire

You pull me close to you, and I orbit in your light
Your glow awakens the beast in me and I feast on your delight
As my hunger devours you, in my eyes you finally see
That I answer your gift of you with an offering of all of me

Your eyes flutter in leisure
Your eyes close with a sigh
Your eyes open wide in pleasure
That is shared by you and I

I take the cries you offer me and return them all in kind
We walk the fire together, heart to heart and mind to mind
We’re not afraid to laugh or that our passion is too much
As we twine our limbs together, drunk upon each other's touch

The feel of you against me
The feel of trembling hands
The feeling we get when we
Give in to our hearts' demands

Come dance with me my love, and we'll submit to our souls' commands

Light and laughter,
