I need everybody's help. My computer isn't working. It will turn on but the screen remains black. I can hook it up to a desktop monitor and it works, so I know everything is fine with the hard drive. I had this problem in the past and Alma's IT department told me to take the battery out and then restart it. This worked then. Now it doesn't.

Did you call the company who made it? They might know...

BUT...you might have to talk to someone in India :D

Sometimes if you call the company that you're computer is through, you have dell don't you, i don't remember, they'll help you over the phone if it's just something stupid like key to hit. They did with me when my keyboard was acting up. Give that a try, and I miss you!!!

ok. i have toshiba and when i look at the help website i think i'm charged for help, but i didn't look closely. i emailed a repair shop and they think the lcd light is out. blah.
