"the last one standing"
There will always be someone you can lean on. If you reach out to people, they will reach toward you. You are so lucky to have Jacqui, standing in the wings ready to offer what she can.
I am very sorry for your loss. My dad died two years ago and it was a sad time. I miss him still. I have some terrific memories of him and that is what I attempt to dwell on. I try to to stay away from those sad thoughts and it gets easier and easier as the months go by.
These days will be a blur of unreality and sadness.I wish you strength and peace.
