Tonight I handed out blankets, sandwiches, shoes, soup, coffee, coats, pants, water and conversation to probably over a hundred people on the streets of nyc.
Tonight I did something that most of those people will not do for the rest of their lives:

I came home.

it was so sad to see the ones who were lonely and just wanted to talk. and by just giving them a really nice coat and some sweatshirts and talking to them like they weren't just another homeless person made them so happy. we need to go again very soon.
