Jeffrey won! Soooo excited! I was really hoping. And, incidentally, I loved the whole collection, especially the green-and-white-striped zipper dress and the red, black, and white-striped halter dress. Pretty sure people in Yankton could hear Angie and I hollering when Heidi announced the winner (though we both guessed it was coming). I have to say, I really do enjoy the other designers, and I totally want that gray-and-yellow gown that Laura made.
I'm a huge dork. I'm okay with that. What are Angie and I going to watch on Wednesdays at nine now that PR season 3 is over? (And don't say Top Chef.) We need an excuse for popcorn-and-wine time!
In other news, I'm applying for the Met National Council auditions. Eeeeek! The audition itself doesn't faze me, really (though it's very exciting!). It's all the crazy paperwork. You'd think that I'd be used to the application process by now (for school, for young artist programs, whatever), but I still get all worked up every time I put a packet together. I'm silly like that. I suppose I should get used to it, since I wish to work in the land of academia.
I was flipping through TV channels tonight, and I stopped to watch Passport to Europe because the episode featured Florence. Damn, I miss Italy. Even more, I miss my friends from Italy.
One of my voice students today (pointing to his head while vocalizing): "Some days, I don't think that this is much more than a hat rack." My students crack me up.
