The so-called "deities" - which seem to be more really powerful magic-wielders, in a sense - are presumed to be doing this. Whether it's their own amusement or for some actual gain, no one really knows. They tend not to be too talkative about it.

...why do I feel like I've suddenly been thrown into someone's toy box?

Well, not really... It's a pretty normal world where I come from. School, shopping, housework, music... The only magic that really occurs are because of some... talking stuffed animals I'd come across a few months back.

That's... pretty much what it feels like.

It does sound somewhat strange, but... let's say I've dealt with stuff I would deem "supernatural" before, especially in the City. There are people here for whom magic is perfectly normal.

As relieving as magic being a normal thing to most sounds, it still worries me.

I hope I don't end up staying here too long though... I mean, there's nothing interesting about an ordinary girl like me. The deities must have made some kind of mistake...
