Uta had planned to go back to her old apartment today, but the sudden disappearance of Anthony Rutherford with the sinking feeling that they would never see each other again took a lot out of her. She went to his apartment building and got as far as his front door, but could get herself to knock or turn the door knob. So she sad beside his door, right on the hallway, thinking... grieving...
Hours passed until she finally got up and left, without going in Anthony's apartment at all. As she tried to go back to her apartment again, she found herself in front of the Hall of the Missing. There was no point in entering that place, but she felt compelled to do so... only to find that Ichiru Kiryuu had also left the City.
Overcome by grief, she headed for the beach to watch the sunset. She could not understand. Why did Anthony have to leave when she had just returned? Just when she was beginning to remember him... Why did seeing Ichiru's portrait hurt her when she could not recall him much, if at all?
With tear stained cheeks, she opened her network device...
