Family History: Equal parts Welsh and Greek - his grandparents on his father's side are one of each. He has a fraternal twin brother, Tiernan, quiet, of genius intellect, and obviously the favored child in the family.

Personal History: Cass exasperated his parents from an early age, especially in comparison to his brother. It wasn't that he was bad, more that he required constant attention, more than they were able to give him. As a result, he found himself elbowed aside a little, his exhuberance for life treated as an irritation, his attention-seeking an inconvenience. Cass responded by isolating himself, increasingly as he aged, roaming far afield in his search for someone to appreciate him. An unrepetant spot-light hog, he had a sweet nature that made up for a lot of his trouble-seeking, but as he got older the gulf between himself and his parents continued to grow. He remained fairly close to his twin brother, and he didn't resent Tier for claiming the majority of their parents love. He did, however, resent their parents, and grew more and more rebellious toward them, shutting them out of his life as he continued to grow wilder, attending parties with much older kids, testing drugs, falling in love with alcohol, and losing his virginity at fourteen. His parents decided that if he wanted to self-destruct, that was his own damned business, and more or less left him to it.
It was early Sophomore year before they managed to patch up their relationship at all, following a huge fight during which both sides were forced to acknowledge that they had contributed to their unhealthy relationship. Since then, things have been better, but terribly, hurtful things were said in the heat of the moment that Cass will never really get over. As a result, he's still a little distant from his parents, and very eagerly awaiting his eighteenth birthday so he can move out.
