So I just dispersed about $700 into the internet, and now I await awesome things to come to my house.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13ghz)
Asus P5W-DH motherboard (Intel 975X Chipset)
1 GB Mushkin DDR2 800 ram
ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 256mb
I feel pretty good about this. The last time I built a system for myself was almost 4 years ago.
I spent a good deal (read: way too fucking much) time researching prices, compatibility between components, etc. I really REALLY wanted a motherboard that Overclocks well and supports Crossfire (dual video cards) and this one seems to be it. I have a lot of headroom here. These processors have been known to hit 3.2ghz on stock cooling, and I can add another X1950 and another gig of ram whenever I need to.
Other than that, things are pretty okay. We (my business) are shooting our first commercial some time before next Tuesday. That will be really bad ass. Our 3rd wedding is November 25th, and we have another one in late December.
I had a lot of fun at BotB3, despite sucking horribly in Crazy division. Angela got 2nd in hard. Things are going well with us. She's amazing, I love her.
