chibitoaster is in danger of losing her home, and is seeking help to keep it. I don't know her well, but have admired her work in the HP fandom for years. Her story isn't one of poor budgeting, but of her family home having been in probate after her mother's death and the bank demanding the balance of the mortgage as a lump sum

Thank you, I wasn't aware. I wish I had funds to help. Is there anything I can do? Is that an auction where I can put up my writing? I'll check it out.
Losing a home is about the most traumatic thing that can happen. It's happened to me a couple of times, where I had to move against my will. So sad. I hope she gets to stay.

Butting in (Sorry Beth!) but yes, people can offer to write and draw in exchange for a donation. That's what I had to do since we're extremely tight financially right now.
