Choices and Consequences fuilleverte June 18 2006, 18:38:06 UTC
My mantra. I think you do have the freedom to choose even against the hard-wiring ingrained into your head. The deeper that ingraining the harsher or more spectacular the consequence when the choice to change it is made.. Consequence need not be bad, but it exists in every single choice.

I think Foglebergs anthem on choice "netherlands" puts the perspective best. even better than Frost's "The road not taken"..

Once in a vision I came on some woods
and I stood at a fork in the road
My choices were clear yet I froze with the fear
of not knowing which way to go

One road was simple
Acceptance of life
The other road offered
Sweet Peace

When I made my decision
My vision became
My release

I think this version is better because he doesn't force his choice as the better one. he voices both and doesn't even say which he picked.

Choose a path by freewill alone and prepare for what will come. You have friends to support you and and road you take will be the right one.

Attributed to Charles DuBois, but I can't find out who he is.. the only CharlesDuBois in Wikipedia was a French Ornathologist and put together a book pf paintings on the birds of Europe

Looks like there might be some connerction to the Special Olympics..

The Ringer from last year was about them. Might have been there and Katie does have it on her website as well so it might have been on her book bag..

I love you and your book bag. Your true strength is scratching it's way to the surface. It is past the first wave of mirrors. I can feel it :)
