Just sort of stunned here in Santa Cruz, and yet resigned and angry, too. Not how I want my city to be on CNN. This is the second gun-related deadly crime within several blocks of my house in a year, roughly, and both gunmen had a record of violence and sexual assault. This time, because records are not shared between states in the US, our police

"Enough already" indeed. I'm very sorry to hear about what happened in Santa Cruz.

Yeah. On the good side of things, other counties and then our sherrif's dept. volunteered to take over patrols and other things so our police dept. could regroup and heal a little, and mourn for a few days.

And my local comic book store had a huge poster for everyone who came through today to sign...they're going to take it to the unofficial memorial tomorrow.
