Hello! I wanted to tell you your icons are amazing! Great job! Thanks for sharing!
I am a huge fan of French musicals (well, actually, anything French! LOL) Could you tell me a little more info about this particular musical? I'm sure you've heard about Notredame de Paris, which ran a few years ago! Awesome!
R&J is very similar in style to Notre Dame de Paris, it's very poppy and techno and the sets and costumes are very minimal. It played a few years ago, but I don't think it's playing in France at the moment. It's very popular in Russia right now, though. There was a DVD made of it, like NDDP I got mine at Amazon.fr. It plays on my DVD player, but is very choppy since it's not from my Region, but I don't know where you live so you might be okay.
Here's a clip from the DVD if you're interested. I really love the music from this. The show itself if very gaudy and campy and bright and a lot of fun. Here's also the music video for my favourite song from the show: "On dit dans la Rue". I love the dynamic of Romeo and Benvolio and Mercutio.
I took icon number 10, and was wondering if there was anyway to get the cast recording? Or if the British musical recording was around/available, but I'd take info about the French too, and be willing to trade, if I had anything you'd like.
If you mean the CD, you can get the French one at Amazon.fr. I recommend the two cd one, because I got the highlights first and immediately needed to hear the whole show. I believe you can get the British cast recording here. I recommend getting the French recording first though, as the British translation is sort of horrible. lol.
If you're looking for DVDs or boots, you can get the French cast DVD on Amazon.fr and I don't have any boots of either cast. Thanks for dropping by!
