A beautiful collection... but I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of this movie. Could you tell me a little about it (who stars and when it came out)? Nicking some for posterity; will credit. Thanks!
It's a musical that came out in 1976. It's the story of Cinderella (Gemma Craven), but has the added twist that things don't work out straight away after Prince Edward (Richard Chamberlain) finds her again after the ball. It's a more grown-up version of the story I guess. The dance numbers are lovely (they were hard to icon because everyone was so blurry) and the music is very catchy (by the same people who wrote the music for Mary Poppins). The costumes are very bright and colourful and Cinderella's transformation from ball clothes to her rags is the coolest version I've seen. I first heard the music on a CD of songs from different versions of Cinderella and I took a chance and ordered the VHS from Amazon. It was so worth it. :-) Hope that helped!
Oh! Loveliness! This has been one of my favorite movies for over ten years. The costumes, songs, dancing...are all great. And, IMO, this is the coolest version of Cinderella's dress transforming back to rags. Pretty header. And these are wonderful icons. Heart 3, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 21, 29, 32, 35, 36, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 49, 52, 54, 58, 59, 60, 63, 64, 65, 75, 77, 78, 79, and 81. Will take a bunch later. Awesome job!
I agree, I love her transformation! I love her hair turning to grey and her running down the endless steps. I wanted to do some icons of it, but she's running and the caps were very blurry. Thanks for dropping by!
