I agree - it's about consciousness. If you are spending some of that half hour writing your thoughts it seems a world away from mindless solitaire. It even requires some self-reflection, unless you've perfected the art of writing mindlesslessly.

Did you add people to your friends list? That will open up journals to you.

Writing your thoughts is not mindless, unless of course you like to free associate to the world - oh frumble bee and potash minds, your ever growing number kind... Gack!! Vogon poetry. Must shower now.
