If you want to be light during a dark time, then message me by tomorrow. I'm trying to pull a few people together to go to the Astrodome on Friday morning/afternoon and maybe pray over/sing to the people from Louisiana. There's so little we think we can do, yet so much power given to us by God if we only try. I don't even know if we will be welcome

yes, churches all over houston are taking in people. I may be going to Parkway United Methodist in Sugarland. They will have around 40 people by tomorrow morning and they need things like blankets, shoes, clean clothes, food, water, matresses and toiletries for the refugees. I hear volunteer centers need more of these items than they actually need people volunteering.

Give me a call and we can go. I was thinking either Friday or Saturday or Sunday, or all three days. So give me a call and we can definitely go...at least drive around and see where our help is needed.

I was thinking even printing flyers for people to donate items like shoes and sleeping blankets and then driving the items to a church. Let me know if youre down for that if it turns out the churches dont need us (which is unlikely)

the Astrodom is requesting volunteers by 4 hour shifts. I have a feeling A LOT of volunteers are going to be there...but we can check it out.

Since they cant take al the refugees, I know they are sending off many to Dallas and San Antonio areas. SO be on the lookout if you cant make it to town.
