So my visual anthropology class is kinda making me want to get a video camera. I think it would just be really cool to start recording things at differet things. Like parties, ballet stuff, people hanging out, etc. I found one I like for $250 and it seems pretty nice. It’s not super fancy, just a little handheld thing, but that’s kinda all I’m

I'm looking at the Sony Handycam which has a 60x optical zoom/2000x digital zoom and it records in HQ, which I'm not sure how different that is from HD, but eh. It does do both video and photo. I'm not sure if this is the type you mean for a flip camera, but the screen has a touch display and you can flip it around and stuff.
