Last night after I got home from work, I flipped on the Big Unit on 620-AM to hear him talking about Carlos Lee and how he never lays out for fly balls in the outfield. This is what makes me more than a little annoyed by the McGee/Jackson story. If it were anyone else (especially a Republican), who would care? Saying, "i don't want my name to be Michael Jackson because it is a political liability" is 100% reasonable.

On the other hand, the guy's completely unhinged and any ridicule he gets in the media he's more or less brought on himself. But still, the whole story, as you said, is pretty much a distraction from more important stories, and everyone knows right-wing radio blabbers love a good entertaining distraction from real stories.
