i was thinking while i made my daily supply of toast: the toaster is a pretty bad invention. its only function is to toast bread; good luck fitting anything else in those tiny slots.... believe me, I've tried.(wink wink) and then you cant take it in the bath tub with you cause of all that damn electricity.... im considering a new philosophy on life

Yea you're right, a regular toaster sucks. However, maybe you have not yet experienced the sheer delight of owning a toaster OVEN. Oh yes. It's not a toaster, not an oven: it's a toaster oven. You can not only put bread in there but bagels, muffins...even a crossiant! I know, it sounds too good to be true, but you too can own a toaster oven. Just put $50 in an envelope, stick it in my locker and I'll get one to you..erm...ASAP.

yknow, i never really appreciated toaster ovens prior to this conversation. and as luck would have it, my new years resolution was to appreciate toaster ovens more. well, since thats over with, i have like....362 days (dont actually count how many days i have mathematician-assholes-who-are-reading-this...yes, you littman) to just continually fuck up. and when people say, ugh, dont u think u should have some resolutions to sharpen up for the new year, i'll show em my new years resolution check list. So I thank George Foreman and other great kitchen appliance names out there, for helping me accomplish my new years resolutions.

when a toaster and an oven love each other, they make a little baby toaster oven. aww,toasteroveny! except dont try to tickle it like you would a baby as those things are hot. in ways more than one. (winkage).

Oh wait, I'm having a revelation here now that you brought up the ole George Foreman. Yes, the GF grill is WAYYY cooler than a toaster oven! I mean, how great is it when you can plop a piece of meat on a grill and watch as the fat drips into a dish? Not only can you get a nice steak or chicken breast but you can use the coagulated fat for other homemade arts and crafts projects. For instance, just pour the fat into a candle mold and freeze- voila! homemade candles that smell like your favorite meat! It's the appliance that makes more than just dinner- it brings families together! Can you really say as much for a toaster oven?
