Sorry, but I just had to comment. Why pick a side? It's okay to be happy for Ten.5 (as you call him) and sad for the original Ten at the same time. In fact, I think that's how RTD wanted you to feel. :)

ITAWTC. They both lost didn't they...Ten I lost Rose, Ten II lost the TARDIS and the Time Lord Lifestyle. Ten II is the one who gained...he gained Rose. Ten I is alone once again. So yeah, I grieve for Ten I and am hopefull that Ten II will make his human life work.

What I meant was whether I'm happy or sad about the series finale. I agree with you, RTD evidently does want us to be all mixed emotions about all the characters! :)

This is really really beautiful. I got teary when Ten was giving his speech to Nine about not taking Rose for granted and how fantastic she is. Just gorgeous.

That was the hardest part for me to write. I was a bit choked up writing most of it but when I got to that part the tears really stared falling. I'm glad it touched you as well. :)

Don’t take it for granted. Don’t take one single, infinitesimal second for granted. She will risk her life for you. You will die for her. You will meet monarchs and devils. Well Rose is far from perfect but what they feel/felt for each other...THAT was/is perfect.
