...Tragedy Strikes Down the Street...

Death.

To me "Death" is usually a funny/jokable subject. Even when someone dies I'll usually make a little joke about it. I rarely feel sad, or any emotion at all. (Save for when "Mouse" died. That still makes me sad.)

Wtf teen drama should not be mixed with weapons. I am curious about your non-response to death though. Is it only death? Or other things when you're "supposed" to feel

I dunno, it's just death. It happens to everyone. I'm gonna die someday, everyone I know and love is going to die. I guess I just accept it and move on...I try not to dwell on it. What gets me is not death itself, but the way it happens. If I don't feel that the person deserved to die they way they did, it makes me sad ( ... )

That's quite interesting... someone once told me that they saw mourning as an activity that was really quite selfish. I don't know I see it that way yet, and I see that from a rational point of view your opinion makes sense. In fact, people dying of old age probably isn't too sad, but so much death happens in completely stupid, inane ways, see.

Poor Mouse. One of my Japanese teachers went the same way, but she was oceans away from her family, and her life, she had just moved to Rome... that's sad too.

As for keeping feelings in a little vault, hey I can't blame you. These days I feel like my mood is permanently pointed at 'desperately unhappy'. Really I'm an over-eager puppy who would love to befriend someone but no one seems to want or be worth my time. Sigh! And to end on a lighter note, the little vault reminds me of my bf's 'happy place' in his mind, where he retreats when he gets pissed off or aggravated. His 'happy place' has been described as a military bunker buried deep underground. haha.
