i just thought about something and it's pretty much making my mind go crazy.

i thought about how two people can be born at the EXACT SAME TIME, yet still have their birthdays fall on different days depending on where in the world they were when it happened.

thats why we have GMT... us americans are taught to think the "relative to us" way of thinking while the rest of the world thinks of literally the mean time. what boggles my mind is that even though time is an easy enough concept to grasp (past, now, future, yeah yeah) all that exists is now. there is no future and past is just remembering what you did. but being aware of yourself sitting there right now being the present is a trip.

i think that was the same science class that was my undoing. but even UTC isn't something that's being adopted widely. i don't know, you're a lot smarter than i am, though 'cause i don't even understand time, really. and all these limits we've created for it. i guess it's something that needs to be done. still, i can't help but think that it's really rather pretentious of us.

anyway, how's everything going? touring?

I didn't mean to come off as being pretentious... I know stupid, unimportant things. It is so weird what sticks because I'd much rather be an interpersonal professional than a useless fact whiz kid. I get people when it comes to politeness and etiquette. But there are those little things I just can't get right. I had to comment though, because I space out on time all the... uh well, time

oh, no dude. i wasn't talking about you. i meant the way people have set these man made limitations on time - that's pretentious. to think we can fully comprehend something that is far grander than any of us. but i suppose that's the way we do things. we love to control everything. i totally wasn't talking about you though.

it's actually good to get an intelligent response on here. usually it's me posting some random crazy thoughts like this and i get a comment saying "let's hang out." uh... no, thanks? but then i guess it is livejournal, right? what do i expect?

but yeah i apologize again for any misunderstanding. chrisu will tell you i've only got good things to say about you. glad to hear the band's good. and i hope your health is now following suit. you take care too.
