I'm sending out engagement invites, it's all retarded. What's most stupid is that i'm sending them out to friends way way out of town already knowing the response. From my perspective it's a "I value your friendship highly but im a fucking tard" message, ranking close to a "sorry you're sick" card

i disagree, so don't feel bad about sending them! I think it's good to send it to people even if you know they're too far away. It has that official conveyance of "i love you and want you to know that you're in my close circle to be invited and will probably get a wedding invite"
