Another wonderful year of music and a good year overall. I was able to get back to studying Japanese and Spanish and I am well on my way to getting my second degree in communications. I would like to preface this paranoid rant by strongly encouraging everyone to vote. NO VOTE IS A WASTED VOTE! I recently viewed Obama's so called tax cuts. His economic policy requires a trillion with a capital T worth of spending. I can't believe Isaac "Chef" Hayes is dead. Soul legend Isaac Hayes died Sunday, August 10, at the age of 65. This guy did a lot for music. You go to the Stax Museum downtown and you can't go more than a few feet without seeing one of his accomplishments. He practically made made Memphis soul what it is with all the work he did for the Stax label. ( Read more... )
