Dear Yuletide Writer
Hello dear Yuletide person,
First of all, I already love you for your great taste and you may just be my new favorite person, whether we matched on books, RPF, or TV. Thank you ever so much for writing for me. I’m so excited to be receiving a story in one of my tiny fandoms, no matter which one I end up getting. I’m sure that you’ll make my Yuletide with whatever you end up writing me. But if you’re like me and have no idea where to start, here are a few optional details to go with my requests!
First of all, here's a list of things I really, really like: makeouts, found families, friendship turning into more/best friends falling in love, any and all romcom tropes (for example: secretly married!!, accidentally married/married for convenience, drunken love declarations, road trips, having to share a hotel bed, fake relationships that turn into real ones, secret relationships), high school/college AUs, angst that is resolved by the end, banter, anything from gen to explicit in terms of rating, gen or romance.
There are very few things I don't like and most of them shouldn't come up, but just in case: character bashing, misogyny and non-con are the three major ones. I also have a big embarrassment squick, so I would love if you’d avoid putting the characters into situations that could possibly give someone major second-hand embarrassment.
I’ve been slacking on internet things where you can snoop on my interests this year, but I will try to link appropriate tumblr tags and/or goodreads shelves for all of my requests.
But now, without further ado, here are the fandoms I requested this year in alphabetical order:
Captain America RPF (Hayley Atwell, Chris Evans)
Look, I can't apologize for who I am. And who I am is someone who desperately wants them to be banging. That absolutely doesn't mean you have to write this for me, I'd be happy with absolutely any kind of shenanigans these two get up to, but I am deeply obsessed with them and how Hayley FLEW TO ATLANTA to crash the Captain America set and film a Dubsmash between them in which they make out? I also love that she unabashedly lusts over him. As for prompts: Write for me what happened after they filmed that kiss? What happened when Hayley crashed his panel? What kind of shenanigan (friendshippy or romantic) do they get up to when they hang out? If it's your thing, how did their first hook up occur? What would happen if they got cast in a romcom together? I'd also be super into a friends who bang/friends with benefits scenario for them. Just, anything you can imagine for them would be amazing!

Know Not Why - Hannah Johnson (Amber Clark, Arthur Kraft Jr, Howard "Howie" Jenkins, Mitchell "Mitch" Ballard)
This book is my EVERYTHING!!!! I actually read it more than a year ago, but I've just grown to be more and more obsessed with it. It's definitely the book I've re-read the most of any book I read in the last 10 years. I love absolutely everything about it. Howie and Arthur are EVERYTHING TO ME!!!!! I love them so much. Arthur Kraft Jr is pretty much the dreamiest and Howie is such a loveable asshole, and their work environment sounds like the most fun, and both Amber and Mitch are such great friends to Howie (and they also need to put their mouths on each other). Here are a few things I'd love to see for them: Howie and Arthur hosting a house-warming party when they eventually move in together, having the entire crew go on a road trip, a Christmas party for staff and friends at Artie Kraft's Arts N Crafts. I'd love missing scenes from when Arthur and Howie got together. Basically, any excuse that will get all of these people hanging out together would be awesome. I'd LOVE if you put Amber and Mitch together. If you'd like to include Kristy and Cora, please feel free to do so, I love them a whole lot, but you obviously don't have to. Anything you can give me for this book will be amazing because there is actually no fic at all for it.
Sadly I don't have a tumblr tag for this, but believe me when I say that I love this book beyond belief. Here's my goodreads review for Know Not Why, and then my review of the little sequel novella, Toil and Trouble. This is also a pretty easy canon to catch up on if you'd rather write something else than what you were assigned.
The Office (US) RPF (B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling)
These two have been RUINING MY LIFE for years. It is probably my most consistent fandom at this point, and it's a fandom of, like, 3. I've been lucky enough to have received amazing fic for them for Yuletide twice, but there is still so very little fic for them and I'm greedy. So many things about them were TOO MUCH. Her newest book once again reiterating that they're soup snakes and that her mom loved BJ!!! Him saying in an interview that they can't get married now because everyone would tell them 'I told you so.' BJ is the second love of her life after her TV show!!!! ALL of their instagram pictures together. Everything is a lot. Basically, what I’m looking for with this request is any kind of tropey situation you can put them in. If you’re not comfortable writing them in a romantic context, I’m happy to receive gen in any way, shape, or form; but if you’re up for romance stuff, here are a few ideas: they’ve actually been secretly married for years, tell me how it went when they accidentally became roommates for whatever reason, how the Mindy Project episode he was in was about his character being in love with his best friend and how that's totally stolen from real life, his reaction to the Howard Stern interview last year in which Mindy talks about their relationship if your headcanon is that they weren’t together at that point. Whatever you can think of, believe me, I will love it!

Selfie (TV) (Eliza Dooley, Henry Higgs)
Oh, Selfie. This wonderful masterpiece that ended much too soon. I loved so many things about this, it was probably actually my favorite new show of last year that then died a very untimely death :( I loved Eliza finding herself, I loved Henry Higgs, romantic dude lead of my dreams, I loved the development of their relationship. Basically, what I'm looking for re: this request is ALL OF THE ROMCOM TROPES and/or a continuation of their relationship after the show ended. Because there is almost no way they wouldn't have gotten together eventually. I'd love Henry reacting to the New Eliza, basically picking up right after the last episode ended. I'd love any kind of office shenanigans for them. I'd love if their colleagues started scheming to get them together. If romance is not your thing, just give me them as friends. Have them go on an outing outside of work. Them showing each other more of their respective worlds. Just, this show ended much too soon and I'd love to see any kind of fic for these characters that will give me more of their world.

You're the Worst (TV) (Edgar Quintero, Gretchen Cutler, Jimmy Shive-Overly, Lindsay Jillian)
These people are just, well, The Worst, and they're all so endearing and stupid and wonderful, I love everyone in this bar, and so on. I love Jimmy/Gretchen and I LOVE when they are incapable of doing Adult Things, whether it's realistic (relationships are hard!) or just completely bonkers (using an orange press and tomatoes to make a bloody mary); I love Gretchen and Lindsay's friendship, I LOVE Sunday Funday and I'd love to see someone else organize one (I know Jimmy just organized one, I wrote this letter before that episode aired, and that episode was amazing but maybe put Lindsay in charge of one and see what happens?), not gonna lie, I LOVED that moment when Jimmy/Gretchen nearly had a threesome in S1 and I would definitely not be opposed to a threesome story with them if that's your thing (though preferably with a semi-stranger and not with Lindsay or Edgar). I'd love for these four to just go on a random outing or for them to do something they think they'll hate, but then it turns out they love it? I'd love to see them go on a trip together somewhere. AUs? Yes please, if you're so inclined. Just, any kind of ridiculous situation that you can put these people in, gen or not, will be amazing.
