i think what i love most is just how ridiculous their relationship is and yet it's exactly the type of relationship that most people long to develop with someone else and sldkglh'aslkg they're just so wonderful together.

there is something other than the pitch perfect pacing and tone, as well as wording, of the dialogue in their exchange here that really grabs my attention; love that working of subtext! and this lot- "And years ago he would’ve spent the holidays on his own or at work. It made no difference to him if had a plate of fruitcake waiting for him at home or if he had someone to share it with. Years ago, he would not have been willing dragged to an extravaganza not destined for disaster. He was entirely his own person and entirely dependent. It happened so easily, so perfectly fucking easily and no one knew it." was brilliant as well! ♥

i love the setting! kind of modern, but still kind of tinged with that dreamy shade of the romantic era and keysmash the metaphors you shuffled in there were very enchanting (the grind of rubber wheels against the asphalt jungle ♥). but oh what really made the story money was the dialogue between holmes and watson ,_, it was snappy and insightful and oh just kind of perfect really c:

In the ACD stories, yes; but I'm basing this off the BBC Sherlock, where they call each other by their first names. Hence "Sherlock" and "John" in lieu "Holmes" and "Watson".

ACD? By BBC, is that a radio program version or something? I dunno any of these terms, I'm not in the fandom or anything. I've read the novels and watched a few movies plus a black-and-white television series, but that's it hahah.
