ahhh was it convincing?! Yay! I had to read Herodotus last semester. Say what you will about our core, at least we can spout on and on about literary texts while sounding like intellectual douchenozzles.
Seriously though, so glad that my characterization worked. Between piecing together his dialogue and his actions I wondered if I was making him seem soft or naive but I guess in a way they are, a bit, at this point, because they've yet to enter the service. And I was unsure about Jim because I think he's the type of person who doesn't say much but still manages to expresse a lot. Or something.
