She's never met him.

"I apologize for the hour, my lady, but I've heard Sir Gawain's wife has some skill at healing, and that this is where they live. I know it's unusual, but I did not know who else to ask in this place."

"I am Sir Gawain's wife, and I have some skill, though it were better to ask my sister or my cousin. What manner of hurt is it?"

"Very bad, I think, though she did say she was not human so I cannot be sure. But she was aflame, earlier in the day."
