I do like this new look Somarium has taken up for itself. Now I don't have to see any of the uglier residents! What a blessing this blanket of darkness has brought us!

I daresay this is not a blessing but the beginnings of quite a curse, Kuja.

What makes you believe such a thing? Darkness can be a gift as much as light, you know.

Darkness is wonderful, truly a gift. So many things can be done under the guise of night, but what's to come in Somarium isn't what I would consider a gift. With the fall of the castle, and now the sudden lack of light in the city, there's certainly more to come.

[A small chuckle]

Can't you feel the city becoming restless?

Restless? Not what I would use for it, but yes, it certainly is changing. More than likely the inhabitants are used to the presence of the light and thus reacting appropriately.

Yes.

Unless you can see perfectly in the dark? Then there's no reprieve.

I could illuminate it if I wish, but I do not.

And why is that? Laziness?

I've already seen everything! If I had to, I could paint it off of recollection alone.

The darkness can be pierced Kuja.

By what? A magnificent weapon forged from light, or something similarly absurd?

Ironic since she IS a weapon of light white_polaris August 28 2010, 04:57:27 UTC
We are in a dream realm and a castle just fell Kuja, the absurd is not held to the same standards.

I suppose that little bit of information does twist the story around enough to make it plausible. Still, to be skeptical is a right - dream or not - I'm granted.

I couldn't agree more! I can enjoy my tea much more peacefully by candle light.

Ah, by candlelight. I do enjoy that far more than using the artificial light that are in the ceiling.

It brings a certain something to the atmosphere, doesn't it?

Yes, the flames illuminating the words on the pages... the same flames that destroy, burn, and consume... so beautiful, no words can describe it.
