I use Mac, Linux, and Windows on a regular basis. Quicksilver on Mac, Katapult on Linux, and Launchy on Windows. Katapult sucks, but it's the closest thing to either Launchy or Quicksilver. I've been considering re-doing the storage engine and search functions of Katapult, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

By missing "some features", he really means "all but the most basic feature". Quicksilver is the only launcher (I've searched!) that uses sloppy searches for both object and action; Launchy and Katapult just have a preconfigured launch action for each type of object.

One thing you may wish to do is change the Quicksilver binding to Apple-space, replacing the Spotlight binding. This way, when you're on a mac that doesn't have it, it at least pops up Spotlight. And that's the same key position as Katapult and Launchy, too.
