I need to sleep more. Friday I hit up Yummy with Keough, and we ended up playing Contra 4 until 2 in the morning. By the way, Contra 4? Fucking sweet. Old school goodness of the sort I like to see. Man I haven't seen the Aliens films in years!
Is there a third one, or am I just thinking of AVP? I've been meaning to get that one from the library, I should get the others too...

There is indeed a third one, and a second AvP in the works.

I did not know there was another one in the works... I've mostly been told that AVP was a let down. I've almost checked it out from the library a couple times... But I always put it back. It's been so long since I've seen the original Alien movies, (and I'm not sure if I've ever actually seen the third), I'd like to rewatch those first. The flaw in this plan seems to be that I can't watch them if I don't have them, and that -logically- I should check those out from the library first. Which requires requesting them. Which requires me to act upon this plan. Which has thus far been failing for several months.
AND, since I'm at my parents on slow, slow dial up... I guess it's going to continue not happening, at least for now. Oh well...

I remember hearing about Contra for NES years ago. It was a popular series back then.
