So, loads of people make new year's resolutions. Loads don't keep them. I might be one of them. Oh well! These are things I wanna do this year. Go me
( Read more... )
That's one hell of a list. Worthy goals, all... Just make me a promise, in all the resolving (and I say this because it's a promise I've had to learn to give myself, too)?
Remember that any tiny speck of progress on the things on that list counts as having done something. Remember that as far as climbing all of a goal and planting a flag at the summit goes, making it even partway to the top of even ONE of the things on that list classifies as a win. (Well. I'd be soft on 15 on that point, but that's mostly because I'm a glutton and a hedonist. YMMV. ~shrug, grin~)
Anyway. It's easy to get disoriented in the middle of things like 1, 13, 14, 20--heck, even 11 & 18. You look around and where you are doesn't look like where you were, but it doesn't look like where you thought you'd be, either? It's easy to mistake that for "no progress" and start the wailing-on-self cycle. Remember, okay? ~warm hugs and <3~
*returns your hugs and lots of <3* I appreciate the advice and I'll be sure to keep it in mind. :) Some of the things on the list... totally won't be quantifiable by passing a goal post or anything like that, but hopefully I'll make some progress on them anyways.
As for the new foods (to which Donairs have been added), I only put them on the list because I must set aside days to go and pursue the new flavors! (Just tried some Ethiopian cuisine the other night, freaking delicious, by the way. If I can ever drag you up to come visit the great white north, I will be sure to introduce you to all of the awesometacular foods I've found up here.)
I hope your 2011 is similarly bright and wonderful!
