When I was a young girl, the vast majority of my energy was spent on concocting elaborate explanations for why reality simply wasn't the Truth About Me. Slowly but surely maintaining a foothold both in the real world and my fantasy life, I came to the conclusion that I was indeed a Very Important Person...somewhere else.
