I've been trying to work on a pet story project of mine lately but I've hit the same snag that I always hit: I am embarrassed to write romance. Dude, romance is H A R D.

Doing it right is just the biggest pain because you have to do it while keeping the rest of the story going and figuring out the dynamics and not...

I could go on about the problem but you already know it.

It gets to me, too! It is not helpful advice, but I can say that at least you aren't alone in this.

Maybe try writing it as though only you will see it (and maybe only you *will* see it). The thing with romantic scenes is that they're terribly intimate and reveal what the writer values. Write as though you have only yourself as an audience--that might help. :)
