Saiyuki Gaiden OVA Seiyuu Event

I had the honor of attenting the Saiyuki Gaiden OVA Seiyuu Event on February 19th at Cinema Sunshine, Ikebukuro.

Haha, no but it helps loving every moments of it. And I pretty much started writing things down as soon as I got home.

They didn't check the bags or anything like that but it was of course not allowed to take photos inside the cinema, and Konzen they told us to turn of cell phones and such...

Oh god, your review has only made me even more anxious and excited to see this OAV, especially since you went into detail about the animation quality. I was a little concerned since the trailer mostly had still shots, but now I am dying to see more. I'm surprised another trailer isn't out yet, the movie is out in a month or so! I'm guessing if they showed Nataku's fight they jump more into Vol. 2 of the manga, did you see the beginning of the oav? I'm just curious how it starts off :)

Cant wait to hear Goujun's voice, and if I recall from Gensomaden it was preeeetty deep there too. I had been pretty disappointed that there was a lack of Gaiden (and Seiten) in Reload/Gunlock, so this OAV is going to be awesome for me :Db

No, they did not show the beginning. The fight scene is (I re-checked with the manga) chapter 22 when they're running from the guards and enter the room where the archers are waiting. Also they showed a short clip where Tenpou, Kenren and army ppl fighting a monster, from sometime earlier in the story. Also when Goku goes berserk (I think there was a lot of still shots here though) ^^;.
