And some time later, there's a knock at Kevin's door.

Seth is out buying groceries, so Kevin, who was dazedly watching soap operas on daytime TV for lack of other programming, strips off the sheet he's covered with, makes his way to the door, then opens it.

"Oh... hey, man..." his voice is faint, eyes are squinty from sleep and his hair is a mess. He's in his pajamas; blue drawstring pants and a white t-shirt.

"Come on in."

Leon is a bit more formally dressed, since he's mostly pulling office duty back at work. He has on black pants and a white button down shirt, but since he's off for the rest of the day his tie is gone, his sleeves are rolled up and the top few buttons are undone.

He does a bit of a double when he sees Kevin, but steps inside anyway. "Man, you look like shit. You catch a cold, or something?"

Kevin paws at the side of his face; it's the sleepy rendition of rubbing his eye and smoothing back his hair in one go. It doesn't work very well.

"Nah..." Indeed, he does look like shit; he's scruffier than usual, has dark circles under his eyes and is kind of pale and gaunt. He also appears to be high on something.

He ambles back to the couch and sits down carefully.

"Hospitalized on Thursday." He says, holding up an arm to display the yellow plastic bracelet, but not looking at Leon. He's staring at the table.

"Liver failure. Sucks..."

News travels fast in the apartments, especially when it deals with the health of any of the tenents. Which is why there's a knock on the door a few hours after Leon's visit. Kevin's got a visitor (again)!

It's Yoko, looking very worried about something. She's got one of those gift baskets they sell at the store in her hands. It's the usual junk: candy and a bunch of small flowers and a tiny little teddy bear holding a heart with the words "Feel better soon!" written on it.

She shifts anxiously on the doorstep before calling out. "K-Kevin? Are you all right? C-Can you let me in, please?"

Yoko happens to knock when Kevin's sleeping; it's her calling that wakes him up.

"It's open," he calls back, rubbing his eyes. He'd have to get her a key or something.

Yoko was thinking the same thing at the exact same time. Freaky how that works, no? She nudged the door open and sidled into the apartment. Hovering in the doorway, she tilted her head curiously and looked at Kevin.

"K-Kevin? A-Are you feeling any better?" Yoko approaches him and holds the gift basket out. "I-I thought you might want somethign to cheer you up. To make you feel better, you know?"

Aaw, she's blushing! How cute...

Kevin blinks lazily and tilts his head back over the arm of the sofa where he's laying to look at her, and smiles, extending his hands upwards to take the basket.

"Oh--thanks, sugar..." his voice is kind of gravelly from slumber, but he looks extremely happy to see her.

He sits up a little and looks down at it. He's covered with a sheet, but he shifts his legs back so she can sit down by him.

"Awful sweet of you." He picks up the teddy bear and smiles a bit.
