I don't know why people are so excited - this pope has made no bones about the fact that he's not happy with all these American cafeteria catholics. anyone who thinks this pope doesn't think you're going to hell if you're not living dogma is totally delusional. that means all the fags, fornicators, and divorcees. by last count, that's most of us. liberal catholicism is a figment of the American imagination.
