Going Away Party

Mar 21, 2010 03:56

Tonight was my going away party. Strange thing that I honestly expected. Maybe about half of the people who said they would be there were actually there. A few people gave legitimate reasons as to why they were not there, such having something come up last minute or just flat out being out of state and not being able to make the drive, which is ( Read more... )

No way! You could have made it! I'm incredibly sad as a result, and I'll probably cry the whole way to Oregon. :p

In all seriousness though, you do count as one of those out-of-staters. You better believe I'm gonna have one fuckin' hell of an awesome trip, and I'll come home safe just for you.

I tried to come, I really did, but I think my GPS gave me bad directions (are Hanover Pike and Hanover Road the same thing? 'Cause when I got out of my car and walked down the street a bit the street sign said Pike and your FB event page said Road so I don't know, plus I didn't see any house that looked party-like with a million cars in front, and I couldn't see house numbers on most of the houses on that street because it was dark). I tried to call you and get directions, but for some reason it wouldn't even ring. I'm sorry I wasn't there like I said I'd be.

It's fine man. That's one of those messed up freak occurrences it would seem. Hanover Road and Pike are different roads. I don't really know where Hanover Pike is, but I think it's a bit away from where we were. That's strange that your GPS sent you there, and it's even stranger that my phone didn't ring when you called me. I'm truly not upset with you, and I'm not really upset with all the people who didn't come. I am just a little sad I didn't get to see them and you before I leave and all, but that happens. Technically I can still see you before I leave.

Tomorrow night is my finally final last day of work, and I have my whole evening after open to me. That would be around 5:30 in the pm. If you have time in the evening, we could do a bit of hanging out before I depart the next morning.

It was probably my phone, it's been acting up recently (the other day I tried to call my mom and her phone didn't ring until the 4th try - her phone didn't know I had called it either).

That sounds like an excellent idea, I get home at about 430. Dinner somewhere?

Sure, that sounds good. How about I just head over to your place after I get back in the area and take care of my last few errands? As for dinner...I'm kinda trying not to eat out too much, so maybe we could make a dinner or something?
