For the Hebrew final exam, I was expecting my professor (Nava) to give us some brief topic, and tell us to write somewhere in the vicinity of 5-10 pages for an essay about it. Instead, she gave us a 35 page single-spaced play in smallish font, and we are supposed to read that and then write an essay about it, as well as writing an additional act to

Oh wow... yea, in my experience, language teacher can get really carried away sometimes. I think they labor under the impression that their class is the only class that their students are taking. That would be nice of course, but it's hardly true for most of us.
