I've been searching for ... well, ever. But I finally was able to locate videos of the cutscenes from the Japanese version of FFX. And I was on the verge of purchasing the NTSC-J version of FFX at an exorbitant import price, too, just to see them, so this is especially awesome.

woha! THAT bad?? I guess the girls in Japan are all high pitched.. which is seriously frustrating.. can't Imagine Auron anyother way but the English one.. Seymour was the annoying one in English though. I kind of thought his voice would be abit huskier or deeper thn that.. maybe more manly u know.. I think some woman does his voice.. but i still love him anyway.. so who cares?!

Interesting. I like most of the Japanese voices better -- in particular, Seymour seems more compelling, seductive, and believable to me in Japanese, because he's not so transparently evil. You can see (or rather, hear) why people are taken in by him ( ... )

Yo! Yeah, I agree about Seymour, and you definitely have a good point about "transparency." To paraphrase Videogame Recaps, his voice is probably the main thing that screams "scary pedophile" bad guy. On the other hand, his Japanese voice is so quiet sometimes that I had to turn up the volume just for him, like during his intro in Luca ( ... )
