I'm not really sure what to say...this was just so real. Like I'd swear you actually had a baby.... It was such a beautiful picture of a family in snapshots, all the tiny details that make up a life, friends and stories and bath time and ketchup on grilled cheese, the way things fall to the back of the refrigerator, how babies get sick and fussy and it hurts to see them cry, how sometimes it's hard to be alone.

It's been some time since I read a really heartwarming domestic au. This is such a good slice of life fic, and with baby Kyungsoo????? My heart positively melted.

this was so precious, oh man
i had to set my laptop down a couple of times just to recover
it's such a beautiful, adorable, moving au
and i was so terribly invested in their lives

i loved all the slice of life moments
grilled cheese sandwiches and bath time adventures and trips to the park and "i'm not a baby" and ahhh the contrasts between jongdae is away sleeping patterns and jongdae is home sleeping patterns
and that scene in the department store, with jongdae begging his baby not to cry, that almost broke me
i actually started cry (and i pride myself on my ability to not cry over fics tbh). it was jus so real

and i think that's what's most powerful to me??? these aren't real life experiences of mine, but they rang so true for me
you really feel his absence, which just underscores how integral he is to their lives

i just want to repeat that i was so invested

this line is probably my favorite line in the fic and that i've read in a while
Joonmyun can never resist the pleading, puppy eyes and curling smiles of either of his boys.
