eeeee authornim!! first i have to thank you for you ability to turn my vague prompts into something sooo great! you managed to make a 60k fic feel wonderfully compact because the characters and the details and the relationships you built were so rich and just fun to read. i could read 60k more and i don't usually like longfic lol but you've mastered it. your characterization is spot on. your kyungsoo's struggle with wanting to stay in control, not wanting emotions to get the best of him, but eventually having to set down the script and let others help him ;~; i loved the parallels between movies and real life because it seemed true to kyungsoo to want to.. have something he was comfortable with, like film, to cling to. and he's such a director!! the chensoo was of course just beautiful. the build-up seemed so natural and you did a great job of balancing kyungsoo kind of reaching into the past for the jongdae he used to know but also meeting this new jongdae and falling in love with him. all their kisses were great and i love the

First of all, I apologize for making you go through all 60k of this T__T I'm aware that some might not be so fond of longfic, so it really means a lot that you pressed on despite not being so fond if it. :) That said, I'm so glad you still found the fic succinct despite the word count! Negl Kyungsoo as a director is so fun to imagine. He'd be so damn particular with the smallest of details! And he's forced to speak all the time lol because he has to guide his actors. :)) I'm so glad you came up with this prompt, it's so fascinating!
but my particular favorite is the one after wrap in front of everyoneStiff and calculated Do Kyungsoo finally relenting and giving in to the allure of Jongdae's charms ;~~; Sobs a lot

sorry, i'm not sure where to put this, but i just wanted to to let you know that i think that the formatting might have gotten messed up when transferring this fic to lj? there are several places where things in sentences are showing up as question marks. for example, it's showing up on my computer like this

I have to echo the comment above; words cannot even begin to express how much of a pleasure it was to read a Chensoo fic of this caliber. This was a pure, shivery delight to read and it's taking every ounce of self-restraint I have to keep this comment from degenerating into hopeless keysmashing. I am in starry-eyed love with your writing, your characterization, just. Everything. I'm so, so smitten. Where can I send you a fruit basket or ten?
Wow. From the story, acting is definitely hard! I didn't think that you had to pay so much attention to the muscles in your face, the expression in your eyes and the delivery of lines. I thought it was just lines! Those tiny ghosts from Kyungsoo's past.... I absolutely loved how throughout the fic we were able to read Kyungsoo's thoughts. It was the most interesting part for me. The push and pull in his mind, constantly going between reality and film, because he is determined not to be swept up with feelings. But then with Jongdae, those lines were blurred. I love CHANSOO. I want a friend like that haha. I was anxious that Baek might try to get Kyungsoo back or something, but at least they ended amiably. And the end .....we get to see what Jongdae thinks. How he sees Kyungsoo. And its the perfect ending.
Mhmm, it's actually really hard and tricky. I've worked with a handful of artists before and have seen their struggle firsthand, lol. They make it sound so effortless when it's actually more difficult than we, the viewers, can imagine. :)
