"I want to lose weight"

Here's a simple "secret" I've come across for losing/gaining weight as I please.

Well, besides the obvious truths regarding the importance of the type of food I consume, I'd say if you're a Korean who eat rice with side dishes and "gook," try this advice:

Eat only when you are hungry, and immediately stop eating the moment you feel full.

this applies to other types of food as well. couple bites left but you're already full; give it up, and with your clear conscious (instead of grogginess from food overdose or being overweight) look for ways to eliminate world hunger, or ways to portioning out meals and donate the money you would save as a result to organizations dedicated to end world hunger.
