Yeah, it's definitely a trade-off - both kinds of life have their rewards and their sacrifices. I have to say, having so many friends in so many different places is kind of terrific, though - sure, it's sad sometimes, but it can be wonderful to know so many different people, and to know how to stay in touch even across distances! :D

Nah, it makes perfect sense. It's the idea that, well, what's the point of seeing the world if you can't share it with someone, be it during or after the fact? All the memories, all the experience, everything. You want a chance to relive all that by sharing it.

It's only a vacation if you have a home to go back to.

Yup, this. .__. Which makes me think I don't really take vacations anymore, I just kind of... go live somewhere else for a shorter time than I usually do and then come back to a kind of semi-permanent living space where all my stuff is.

Though having thought about this a little longer, I am so so happy that if nothing else, the Internet exists so that I can share at least some of those things with people. <333
