They say that the worse the dress rehearsal, the better the show.

The last two rehearsals haven't gone very well. I don't know how much I have said about this play itself. I think that I have mostly talked about tech stuff. Basically, it's a play within a play.

A community Theatre Group is doing a play called Murder Most Foul" that was written by a local "author". The big problem is that she keeps re-writing the show.

When Play On! begins, it is four days until opening night of Murder Most Foul. They rehearse act three and part of act two.

The second Act of Play on! they rehearse part of act one and act three of Murder Most Foul again.

In the third act of Play On!, it is opening night ofMurder Most Foul and they perform all three acts in a condensed style.

So basically, they say the same lines two or three different times, but not always the same way. It's very confusing trying to remember when the are supposed to say the line correctly, and when they are supposed to say them incorrectly.

So here I sit printing out the script on 8.5x11 paper so it fits in the "Stage Managers" binder and he can cue people in need be. I should have just done it at the beginning, but we didn't want the actors to get too dependent on their scripts.

I am only making two copies. One for the "Stage Manager" and one for the actor that "loans" him his script. That way he will be able to que people more easily.

I'd better go. I've still got quite a few pages to go, and I need to shower and change.

Wish us Broken legs!!!
